For a long time I have been struggling with what to do with Tumblr. I love its features and pure sexiness, but I already have personal blog that I love hosted on Squarespace. Also for the last few months I have been mildly obsessed with figuring out exactly what it means to be a Man. I am trying to figure out my responsibilities, my goals, my role, how to dress, and many other things. I decided to merge these two things into a blog on what I am learning about manhood.
There are many great blogs on manliness, the best of them being The Art of Manliness, and I definitely recommend reading that blog, but I wanted something that was coming from a Christian perspective and from the perspective of a young man trying to figure it all out. That is what I want this blog to be; a kind of travel log as I journey to find out what it means to be a man.
I will write about how to be a man of god, how to be a gentleman, how to dress well, how to groom, how to fight…pretty much whatever I discover on this journey to manliness. I am nowhere close to where I want to be, and if I write about something, it will probably be because I am in the process of learning whatever I am writing about.
So welcome to my journey. Hopefully we can learn from each other as we go and have fun on our journey to being true men to our families, our friends, and to our neighbors.
